What is Your Twitter Score?

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

what is your Twitter rank?

Everything else has a score measurement system, why not Twitter?  Ever wanted to know how you rank on Twitter?  Now you can find out for yourself using Twitter Score!  This fun online service will tell you your score on Twitter, depending on your follower, rank, friends and updates.

As an example, we did a quick testing of @lunarpages to see how we score.  Right now we have a 6.55 out of 10, which puts us above average.

Is this important?

Not so much.  It is more for fun than anything else – to see how you rank in the world of tweeters out there.  Want to know who is on top right now?  Check out the top Twitter scores here.

Here is a little more about how the scoring system works from the developers:

Twitter Score bases scores of Twitter users on three factors: friends, followers and frequency of updates. Based on the quantities of all three scores, a score between 0.01 and 10.00 is produced.

In order to make the scoring fair, the bottom 30% of those scored are offered a handicap, and the top 10% of those scored are weighted down to make the playing field level.

What does your Twitter Score say about you?  Let us know in the comments after you go check out twtscore.com.

Fun “Guess What I’m Drawing” Game

Fun Drawing Game

Looking for a fun way to spend a few extra minutes of your day?  If you are looking for an escape from your Monday morning blues – give Gartic a try.  This web-based drawing game is a lot of fun.

The idea here is to join a room, and then have everybody take turns guessing what one person is trying to draw.  Each round a word is given to a player and that player must draw it, the best they can.  When the word is guessed, both the guessing playing and the player that is drawing the image gets points.

Think of it as playing Pictionary on the Web with a bunch of strangers.  Go give it a shot, at http://www.gartic.net/.

Billy Mays on Headline Writing

Thursday, December 18th, 2008

By Mitch “Billy Mays is an Icon” Keeler

Billy Mays in Action

If Billy Mays was here, he would tell you to write a good headline you have to use exiting words, sell yourself and yell a lot get your message across.

So I am here to share with you headline writing, the way I think Billy Mays would want you to do it.

Use Amazing Keywords and Teases!

Learn to use big and important keywords in your titles and headlines.  Certain words seem to draw in more interest than others.  Do you want to look at the tips or the “top” tips.  Do you want a list of tools or a list of “amazing” tools.  Look at the world of infomercial advertising and mold it to fit your own needs.  You know why those woman’s magazines often have the corniest headlines?  Cause they draw in eyeballs.  More people are going to read a page titled “The 10 Best Ways to Keep Your Man Happy” rather than “An Discussion of Relationships with Men”.

Don’t Forget to Stay on Message!

Now that you have gotten into the habit of dolling up your headlines with a few more adjitives, it is time for tip number two.  Make sure you do your best to stay focused on the content of your page.  Don’t tell me you have something that you don’t have, and don’t forget to include something you do have.

Now who says you can’t learn anything from an infomercial?

10 Great Years. Why To Admire Google

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

I’m the last one who will wait on a line to glorify Google. If you search Daw blog on “Google” related keywords you’ll find some very critical reviews about Google products and policies. But all those are part of the game. They don’t devaluate Google as a company or depreciate its achievements, and leading role […]

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

You can find some articles in Daw blog where I’m very critical about Google’s policies. I must admit however that the search engine did a lot to deliver relevant search results to its users. Another thing Google should do is to reform its blog search results.
When you go to Search Engine’s blog section and type any […]
