I have decided to start exploring various traffic networks and to find out how the traffic they send to web hosting providers affects their websites’ Search Engine rankings. So I created accounts with a few traffic generator sites and begun browsing. How do traffic generators work?
In general there are two types of traffic systems […]

When dealing with search engine optimization, a phrase you might hear tossed around is SERP, but many do not know what it really stands for.
I’ll let you know what it is, and why you need to be aware of it.
SERP is the search engine optimization slang for how well your web site is ranked in the search engines for a specific keyword query. Technically, it is a shortened version of the phrase search engine results page.
Now where you rank for a keyword in the SERP is important, because the higher you are, the more likely somebody is going to click your link in the search results and check out your web site.
For an example, let us say I am running a web site about pro wrestling. I have articles up about all the wrestlers, the big events and everything anybody would ever want to know about. Now I would like to have a high SERP result for Hulk Hogan, because he’s one of the most popular wrestlers of all time, so there has to be a lot of people searching for him.
You see, you want to target your pages at popular keywords that have to do with your web site’s content.
The thing to remember is that you want to have as high of a listing as possible when it comes to the SERP, search engine results page, for keywords that have to do with your topic of choice. So, whatcha gonna do with SERP-amania runs wild on you, brother? (ok, maybe one Hulk Hogan reference too many.)

I recently had a Lunartics reader e-mail me in search of a few good Joomla theme resources. Looking around the Web, I started to search out some of the best Joomla theme resources out there, and here are the ones I found.
Have another Joomla theme or template resource worth sharing? Leave a comment, cause I would love to get a few more suggestions.
Also be sure to check out our Joomla support page via the web hosting wiki. Tons of more great information about Joomla there for you to use there, and tons more being added all the time.
Joomla is by far one of the easiest to use CMS (content management system) scripts out there, and there are tons of ways to make it your own by simply adding a new skin.

Find yourself reading through a web page and wishing you had a virtual highlighter handy?
It this situation sounds familiar you need to pick up markit.net, the web’s highlighter. To use it, all you do is visit the markit.net web site, then drag and drop the highlighter picture to your browser’s bookmarks toolbar. Whenever you want to highlight text in a web page, click on the markkit bookmarklet.
Right now the highlighter only works with Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome and Apple Safari. Also worth pointing out is there is no registration needed, so all you need to do is grab the bookmarklet and then get to highlighting.
